Created in 2006, conceived in 2007
Taylor Wade has a rich and deep history, close to its founder’s hearts.
Today we create stylish, contemporary and comfortable childrens T-shirts for a wide age range, but the idea for Taylor Wade was first sparked through a passion for Business & Design
Our Story…
So you want to know the story behind TaylorWade, huh? well One evening in 2006, our founder Kris was in his office brainstorming business ideas, As the rain came down hard, suddenly an idea came to him too. The name Taylor Wade seemed to flow down from his pen as a possible name for a clothing company. It just sounded right. He made the name a reality, putting pen to paper and writing out ‘Taylor Wade Clothing’ for the first time. The idea was left in his diary, underlined and with a question mark.
Not long after, Kris and his fiance found out they were expecting a baby boy. As any expectant parent would, the pair started to consider names, with his partner quickly saying ‘why don’t we call him Taylor?’
Taylor Wade was born on the 23rd of August 2007 and 2.20am It is here that Taylor Wade Clothing born too.
Kris says: ‘Fashion. It’s a very personal thing – and Taylor Wade Clothing is something which is very personal to me, and close to my heart. Originally inspired by my son, now 12, Taylor Wade Clothing was conceived to be a clothing line for children but will grow, seemingly organically, to cater for a much wider age range.’

As a family run company, family values are at the heart of all that we do. We create stylish childrenswear that encourages kids to be themselves, while being comfortable and feeling confident everyday.
We feel that our business empowers us as a family, giving our children an opportunity to learn key skills, and even work for the family business one day. We hope to inspire others to do the same, whether that means setting up a family business, or simply passing down key skills to their children to set them up well for a successful career.
Family is at the heart of Taylor Wade. We are entrepreneurial thinkers, not bound by convention and we hope to pass this on to our children, and to inspire others to do the same.
